For prom my junior year, my date took me to a really fancy and expensive restaurant.  I think my food alone was $50 dollars.  After we left dinner, I started to feel kind of ill.  By the time the dance was over, I was struggling to keep a smile on my face and really just feeling awful.  Luckily I got home in time to change out of my dress and tell my parents I wasn't feeling so well.  They both went to bed and then I started puking.  My dad came downstairs to find me hovering over the toilet.  He started laughing and said,
"How much did you say your food was?  I wouldn't tell your date about this..."
I slept on the bathroom floor that night.  But I never did tell my date that I flushed his money down the toilet (literally).

omg how awful!! you poor thing!! For my junior prom, I had to wake up early to take my ACT, then I went and got my hair done, and had my makeup done at nordstrom. they made me look like a clown. I'm talking BRIGHT blue eyeshadow with BRIGHT red lipstick. when she held up the mirror and asked what I thought, my eyes welled up with tears and I literally ran out of the store. luckily one of my friends was in beauty school at the time, so I went over to her house sobbing and she fixed my face for me. then I rushed home and was literally changing out of my clothes and into my dress when my date rang the doorbell. but that's not as bad as spending the night on the bathroom floor worshipping the porcelin gods with over priced food. poor thing!!!!

Oh that sucks! I only went to one prom. My sophomore year. To me, Homecoming was better than prom!

I graduated early from highschool, just a semester, but I flew home from Utah to go to my senior prom. In the mean time I had one from being BLONDE to brunette. it was SO much fun to fly home and get to go to prom and have everyone think I looked 'so different!' ... :o)

For Prom my senior year we went to a really expensive restaurant as well. I think the whole thing came to around $95.00, luckily I didn't spend the night on the floor though. :D

HEY. It gets flushed one way or another :)
that's why I think expensive reatuarants are a WASTE (if you know what I'm sayin')

I regularly would not eat when we went to restaurants. I was embarrassed for a guy to "see" me eating. I thought it made me look like a pig. That makes perfect sense since humans don't NEED to eat, only if you are a pig!! Yup, I was a fool, however, at least I did not puke up some guys expensive dinner:)

I think I have more negative memories of date dances than positive. In fact I am sure of it. Yuck, I'm so glad high school dating is over!!!

Haha you dad is funny Kali. Im sorry, that is not a fun date getting sick. I was once sick all morning before one of my school dances and I felt okay enough to go that night. When we went to the dance we were all supposed to meet up with our group and bring our own food. My date didn't buy us any dinner! It was so awkward and he told people I was sick and didn't feel like eating, I was so mad and hungry!!

For Sr. Ball we also went to and expensive restaurant.. My friend and I decided to share our meal.. It was fun watching the waitress divide the ticket for her and her date and me and mine! I mean who is going to eat a lot when they are in that kind of dress..

Two of my friends went to Homecoming together on a date. After dinner, they BOTH got sick and threw up in the parking lot. Being the crazy goofs that they were, they looked at each other, realized that somehow that did the trick because they both felt better, then still came to the dance!

was it food poisoning? I got food poisoning once from Mcdonalds breakfast. I was driving around when I started feeling sick and I made my boyfriend stop at albertsons for me to throw up. I barely made it to the bathroom. Gross.

I...like someone above....also had to take the ACT the morning of my prom. Lame! At least I wasn't ill from my food, just totally tired.

Oh you poor thing... :( That is just NO fun at all!

I don't know if I've ever eaten anything that expensive... or I didn't know about it if I did. I can't remember where we ate dinner for Prom.

I know that I have spent the night on the bathroom floor before though... ick.

You poor thing! Yikes.
I drank a little carton of chocolate milk once and the second it hit my stomach it came flying back up. It was totally curdled.

Ok, now I'm feeling sick.

Oh, how miserable! I hope he doesn't read your blog, because now is the time that he will find out.

*The most I have ever spent on a meal was 30 euro for 2 people. It was so dry that I HAD to order a 2nd drink which of course racks up the cost. It was a terrible waste of money and I wasn't even full at the end. I might as well have flushed the money down the toilet.

HA! That is funny. The only thing I can think that is even close to this is when I was boxing up my leftovers after a date and I dropped it out in the parking lot. It wasn't a $50 plate or anything but still I felt really bad.
