my own religion

today...as we were once again talking at work about how "cRaZy" it is that I don't drink coffee... my co-worker said..."Kali, where do you get all these rules? I swear you're making up your own religion as you go." She was kidding of course. I got a good laugh out of it. She then proceeded to ask me how I know all these things I'm supposed to do, "like, do you have them all written down somewhere or something?" Well. As a matter of fact I did. Thanks to my mother who sent me a For the Strength of the Youth pamphlet, miniature size, to put in my wallet. I whipped it right out and she had a good read. Then she said, "You know, you're not really that weird. This is how all people should act." She asked if she could keep it. I almost cried tears of joy, but instead I said yes. Then she told me she was going to get drunk every night for a year just to get it out of her system, and then become a mormon... not exactly the path I was hoping for, but its a start right? Also, I got a text from her tonight after she watched the american idol tryouts in utah, "I was looking to see who were mormons by the way they dressed. From what my mormon teacher taught me, a lot of them didn't look mormon..." stay tuned folks. I'm on a mission. seriously. only...not.

p.s. happy 7 month anniversary to us!

What a natural missionary you are!

No Kali you ARE on a mission! That is the beauty of living outside of Utah where people think Mormons are totally weird! It's so fun to share the gospel.

Haha that is awesome! I need to get some of those mini pamphlets before I go!

That's super cool! Those are the missionary expeiriances I want. I must be trying to hard, but most of my colleages don't seem interested. I guess, when someone is interested comes along, it will be that simple. I'm glad you had a pamphlet in your wallet, that reminds me that I need to stock some in my purse.

I'm glad you share these expieriances, it's motivating, and gives me hope.

way to be a good example, keep being the awesome person you are and you'll have more opportunities to be a missionary!

Top quality. As for the American Idol thing, they showed tons of Mormons" as far as clothes go, but the people they highlighted were usually the ones who looked different. Go figure. The judges did say they wanted to move to Utah since people were so nice even when they didn't make it. That's a good impression :) Sounds like you're making a similar one my dear. Way to be.

Kali! That is awesome! I do like how she is going to party it up for a bit though. It really makes me laugh how people think. :)
