i call it home.

Orem, Utah. Probably the best hometown anyone could ever want. I've been a quite few places in this ripe old age of 21 and I can honestly say that there is no place like home. I love my momma. I love my daddy. I love my brothers. I have rad grandparents. My friends rock. I love the way my house smells when I first walk in the door. I have a special bond with the couch in my living room. Winger's is still my best hangout. State street is still my favorite place to drive. I love the summer nights laying in the greenest and softest grass of the neighborhood (thanks to our landscapers, aka mom and dad). I love the swing on our front porch. There are three REAL malls within 10 minutes of my house (could I ask for anything more?!). You can't find a mountain better than Timpanogos. Not to mention the fact that the person I am today is because of the place where I grew up...spending my days as a Timpanogos Timberwolf, Orem Jr. Jaguar, and Bonneville Bronco...that's a lot of memories. Home. It gives me a foundation, a place where I will always belong, a grounding point. Which is a very nice thing to have for a very un-grounded girl. :)

what/ kali, sometimes I think when you were born your parents injected you with a syringe of optimistic-everything-is-so-happy-i-would-be-ecstatic-about-living-in-a-porpouse-occupied-dumpster-fluid. Although, there is something to be said for movies 8 and Ms. Miller. Okay, fine... I love it too.

But really, you've got to do something about that attitude of yours. It might be catching.

p.s. my mom likes you more than your mom thinks i'm funny. so there.

Kali! I'm so glad you said hi! I don't even remember the last time I saw you. It's been way too long. I'm jealous that your blog is all cute.. I don't know how to do any of that stuff so it's just plain and simple. Oh well! I completel agree with you on this. We were very lucky to grow up where we did. I love everything about it.. minus the snow! :)
I miss the days of elementary school and am sad we didn't stay as close as we were. One of my favorite memories that has always stuck out in my mind is making chap stick out your house. I thought that was the coolest thing ever. So strange, I ran into Kiri the other day. It was funny that you commented right after that happened. Isn't it crazy how fast life changes? It's very sad that I feel old and we're just beginning our twenties! I hope al is going well with you!
